Cleared for Landing

  1. I was practicing flight shots on the black headed gulls that hang round outside the entrance/shop/office building at WWT Slimbridge (I was supposed to be working, but as I do it for nothing...) and fired off dozens - this is one of the very very few that was any good.

Shot with the D1H 80-400 VR combo as usual but at the wide end for a change 95mm to be precise 1/750 at f8 200ASA

I also shot quite a few "arty" shots  of the gulls and swans which I might post tomorrow
  2. very nice, looks like practice is a good thing

Excellent catch Dave!! I love the wing and leg positions.
  4. That is one beautiful bird. The feathers are so beautiful. I love to watch large birds fly because of their feathers.
