I was sitting outside in the backyard, feeling kind of pissy, enjoying the company of the squirrels and small birds when a family of 3 pileated landed in the tree 8 feet away from me. Now, I had the 500 pf loaded onto the Z7II wanting to catch some little birds at the feeders. I got a lot of shots off, having a great time, even though the lens was a tad too long . Anyhow it brightened my mood. Soon after another pair came to compete with and harass the original 3.
So here are some of the shots that cheered me up

Just a couple hundred more to wade through...will keep me occupied for a while.
