I got my info from Thom Hogan's review where he says:That seemed like a lot until I realized that my 35mm/f2 prime lens, which is my closest focusing non-macro lens, has a 9.6-inch minimum focus distance, only 2 1/2 inches different.
It’s a fantastic lens.Thanks, Nick and Terri, for these nice examples. Looks like it would serve pretty well for my wildflower photography.
