As per Alex and Eric's suggestions below, I have updated the images above with more contrast and moved the black point.

You should drop a black point on it. It will improve contrast and eliminate the haze.

Patrick, one of those made to blend in passed right after this one. I took a couple of shots, and it was so blah I didn't bother. I have pictures of a Navy F18 painted in white and with brighter markings than normal, it is used for shows.
