And a bonus pic of me!
note: none of the above photos were taken with the D3 and 400 f/2.8 combo below, my buddy rented the 400 for the game

You have some good action shots here. Daytime football is awesome to shoot.
The downside is we have to deal with the shadows in the helmets as Mark
pointed out. I think you did a nice job with these. Must admit that my favorite
one is the very first image. That's an awesome shot.
  9. Thanks a lot, I was much happier with my results from today than last time. This is only my 2nd attempt doing football.

Thank you! Most of these were shot with a D300 and 80-200 AF-S.
I had a 2x on for a few of them.

I know! I'm glad because I don't have the glass to shoot a night time game!

The 400 was great, unfortunately none of these shots were taken with it. My friend just let me borrow it to play around with at half time.

    We won 27-0

    D300 and 12-24

Thanks, I think I'm going to make a large print of this one.

Yeah, I'm still working on the details, I'd rather capture the action for now and then work on fine tuning later. But I agree definitely.

Thanks a lot! I did some pretty heavy post processing on the first one, all the rest were just a lightroom preset, I had 800+ pics, so I dont have time to tweak every one.
