Colorful Line Work

Discussion in 'Miscellany' started by Harry Lavo, Sep 9, 2008.

  1. Notice the highway blocked and some linemen replacing a crossbar on a telephone pole near where I lived. So I grabbed my gear and walked over to shoot.

It's easy to mistake these guys for doing very little, slowly. But notice in the next to last shot the guy in the second (farthest) bucket has hunkered down and guided his bucket *between* the upper and lower lines....in this photo he is just pulling himself upright having cleared the lines.

Not of any real consequence, but it was a sunny days and the vivid colors sure are nice!

  2. I notice the thick insulation on their arms ! An electrician I know had 11 000 volts through his arm , lucky for him it went through his elbow and blew it open rather than through his body !
