Columbus Zoo - Lions & Flamingos & Kangaroos

Discussion in 'Birds' started by bobhoge, Jul 24, 2005.

  1. Saturday morning Nan & I went to the Columbus Zoo with our new 70-200AFS-VR with 1.7TC and 80-400VR lenses.
You really like the VR function when the light is not too bright!
D-70 and D-100 all handheld and uncropped.

    Lions - 70-200+TC at 340mm f4.8 1/60sec!:

    Flamingos - 80-400 at 400mm f5.6 1/640sec:
    70-200+TC at 200mm f6.3 1/1500sec:

You could get right into the enclosure with the Kangaroos, and they were running (or hopping?) around.
    80-400 at 220mm f5.3 1/250sec:
    80-400 at 165mm f5.3 1/320sec:

    More to follow,
    Bob & Nan
