See if that is any better. I am going after this one again, blind and us a tripod this time, the 200/400 gets heavy, hope to get the golden hours, if they do not fledge first.

Nice shot. Flickers are such beautiful birds. Love the subtle coloring.
Nice shot. I agree the 200-400 get heavy after a while. But I dearly love that lens.

Thanks I have been watching this nest construction some 3 weeks. Then I went on vacation before it was finished, may get one more try at it. Thinking fledging is soon, as parents are leaning very far into the nest hole.

I use the 200/400 for a fair amount of macro/close up work, gives 7 feet working range with butterflies and dragons, you just don't move around much with an additional 12 # of tripod.
