I cannot decide which compostion is best. Don't know if having the cello close to him is better or worse. Or if the color makes any dif. Your thoughts?

#1 because it looks like a little pause during a playing session while the others are "to posed" (for me!)
  3. i kind of like #3 best

I pick 3 - I like the slightly tighter crop.

i really like number 3, number 2 looks OOF to me...
  6. #3 looks best to me. Am a fan of "crystal" sharp eyes. None of these seem to be that sharp.
  7. I worked on the contrast, sharpening and noise. Hope you don't mind. May have over done it!

I would actually take picture 1. The curl on the head of the cello (?) is a nice detail and it's suppose to potray the guy as a musician so the cello is also part of the potrait. The picture can be so much improved with a bit of post-processing. Hope you don't mind my try on it. I white-balanced on the t-shirt, adjust levels, used a cloned overlay layer (to deepen colors), and used a oval mask as vignette. Then sharpened up a bit.
