Congrats! Wonderful pic. It was sad to hear about what happened. There was a similar incident with swans here in NYC not too long ago. Very sad indeed for a majestic and beautiful bird.

Yes, Robin, taken at Donut Island at the west end of the Islands. I've been kayaking there for two years now, lots of wild areas. Some GreatBlueHerons, lots of BlackCappedNightHerons, various types of turtles. If ever you get the urge to paddle, give me a yell and I'll show you around my little piece of heaven over there. That is a mighty tempting offer but I just can't see myself in a kayak
with a camera. I prefer something a little less tippy when I take my
camera out to play.

What do you think about arranging a Toronto kind of session with
cafe members from the GTA? Do you think we could drum up enough
interest?

Areas to shoot: north Oakville, ie Hilton Falls; Toronto Islands walking tour as a lot of folks would probably want to get shots of the city at sunset; anything else....

I'm heading out of town for a week to get my head straightened out around Sydney, but back next Tues night, and we can chat then. I'll PM you my phone# and we can come up with ideas. Good thought!
