Converted Speed Graphic

My latest project was converting my 3x4 Speed Graphic with a Polaroid back from a Tektronix oscilloscope camera. The standard Polaroid back for a Speed Graphic only works on the 4x5 bodies but the 3x4 body is more suited to the Polaroid format. This camera has a 127mm 4.7 Kodak Ektar lens.

The images were taken with my D800E and old faithful 60 AF Micro lens.

I used the Ektar 127 for a while on my 4x5 Tachihara. It's best at f11 and f16 with poor edges and corners as I recall. On your new 3x4 it might be OK wider.

Really nice. I like the way the film holder snuggles into the camera body. I would love to have that on my 3x4.

Thank you Michael,
It took a bit of trimming the wood top and bottom pieces but it does fit right in now. While it is a permanent modification to the camera, it does make it usable. I got the Polaroid body from and oscilloscope but I know now that you can cut down any metal pack film body.

Fuji FP-100c color and FP-3000b B&W. I still have four packs of FP-100b, I really wish they had not stopped this film, a really good B&W instant.

I know what you mean, I have been using the 4 stop filter on my Speedliner. The Ektar 127 goes to F32 and 1/400 so I should be able to use the 3000B. So far I only shot color film in the Speed Graphic.

I have recently set up a Super Graphic with a Mamiya Sekor 100mm f2.8 lens. The lens does not cover 4x5, but it works fine if I use a PA145 back and FP100C or B film. Luckily these films are still easy to find in Japan.

I would like to find a cam for the Super Graphic for the 100mm lens so I can focus with the rangefinder.

Don't know if you Super Graphic is the same. I am thinking that 100mm is very wide for the Polaroid although the 2.8 would be nice. I have been kinda wishing for a bit longer like 150mm.
