I think those catchlights are beautiful. Only natural lighting can provide such interest with catchlights. I think it adds a unique sparkle to the first shot. The second photo is a lightly too "contrasty" for me.

Sandy I really love it for taking pics of Sam. It reallty is the closest to film of any digital camera I have used. The major negative is it is unbelieveably slow. I don't find it usable for any action photos but for static portraits and lanscapes you can't beat it for the money.

Very cute little girl !!! This makes me wonder how can I get the same contracted pupils if I were to shoot indoor? Most studio portraits I've seen have really big pupils because of the low light environment.

Beautiful photo Eric. I love the catch lights. I prefer the color version - the beautiful blue peepers need to be seen in color. Just me though....
