CoolScan 5000 Arrives

Discussion in 'Film Forum' started by grt_napa, Aug 8, 2008.

  1. ...and here are several selections from my initial scan results. Will need to read the manual and figure out how to use ICE and other Nikon edit features. These resulted from a simple Scan, Saved, and Cropped and Light/Darkness adjusted in PS3.

    Suggestions...coaching...criticisms welcomed.

F100 Body, 14mm and a wide angle lens (possibly a 28/2.8 AIS). Kodak BW400CN film developed in a local camera store.

I have a Epson R1800 Printer. Any suggestions as to paper for B&W prints???

Thanks...for all your getting started help! My best, Gordon

Looks good Gordon! I'm glad you finally got a scanner!

Not sure about the 1800 with B&W, but I used Ilford Galerie, Pearle finish paper in the 2400, which is similar to the 1800, and was pleased with the result.
