Couple of flowers hitting the sun

    I don't have a macro lens (yet) but the 70-300mm VR has done a nice job. Here are a couple shots when the sun was peeking through the trees to light up a couple flowers in my back yard.

    Let me know what you think...C&C and all. I just sharpened and saturated a bit. The both are at 1/125, 300mm, F/5.6 (wide open), ISO 320. I wish I would have stopped it down a bit but still think they aren't too bad wide open @ 300.

    #2 is nice... #1 looks a little dark here. maybe some levels adjustment would help it..
