Whoa, I guess I spoke too soon! Day 2 of Moderna dose 2, I had body aches and was running a slightly elevated temperature. I decided to just take it easy and watch Netflix all day. I drank lots of water, while eating normally.

I feel much better this morning! If that's the worst side effect of the vaccine, one day of rest isn't such a bad trade off!

After 12 days in neuroscience care and in-patient rehab I am back home this afternoon! Still struggling with dizziness and balance, but much improved. I occasionally have episodes of breathing trouble (feel like I am holding my breath even when breathing as hard as I can) but can get it under control in 10 minutes or so.

Official diagnosis was TIA, likely caused by COVID’s blood thickening tendencies and general stress on the immune system, but some neurological symptoms remain unexplained at this point.

I have a month of outpatient rehab and specialist follow up appointments ahead of me to make sure I keep moving forward. All I want to do is see if I can tolerate taking photos yet! 😜

I haven't worn a mask outdoors in ages, but will still put one on if the store has a sign saying 'masks mandatory'. I also have to wear one all day while at work (indoors). I am 2+ weeks past jab #2 but I will play along. Besides, our state has banned vaccine passports, so how is anyone to know whether a person has been fully vaccinated -and thus 'allowed' to go maskless'- versus someone who refuses to wear one? Guess that I can always where a sign around my neck that says 'Fully Vaccinated' :D

The only place outdoors that I don't wear a mask is during the working week hours when I walk up to my mailbox kiosk to retrieve my mail and also when during the same time frame period I go out to shoot around the immediate area..... Anywhere else, indoors and outdoors, even though I've been fully vaccinated for some time now, I still wear the mask, and will continue to do so until maybe we in the US actually reach the point where it really is safe to dispense of them...... Too many people still walking around unvaccinated at this point in time and best to just keep on with the precautions.....

Definitely it makes a difference whether someone lives in a significantly highly-populated, seriously congested urban area or in a small town or in a rural area somewhere...... I am fully vaccinated and have been for a while now, but because I live where I do I'm still sticking to maintaining at least basic precautions -- wearing the mask included -- for the next little while until it really DOES feel safe......
