Cream Machine Strikes Again

  1. Nancy and I were shopping at the drugstore when I spotted some fine headwear. I asked a young shopper to model it for us, and she and her mother didn't mind if I snapped her picture :).

The picture sold us on buying headgear for ourselves to wear at an upcoming Christmas party. As we left the store, I asked Nancy to pause so I could snap her picture. She's an experienced photographer's wife, so she looked behind her and said, "Do you really want to take a shot with this kind of background?".

"Aha!" says I. "I have a secret weapon that will puree the background!" ;-)

  2. now That's what I call Bokeh!
Nice shots Frank, can't wait for more from you and this lens.
Puree...that's a nice term for it

  3. Frank, the Cream Machine really shines in your hand. It will be a perfect match for your D200.

Merry Christmas, and wish your mother will get well soon.

  4. Thanks very much, Phil! For a while, the docs thought we might need a specialist of your persuasion, but it now appears the causes of her crash were less sinister.

Did I mention that I love your new avatar? You look quite dashing with that pink lightsword in your hands . I've greatly enjoyed your companionship this year, and look forward to a continuation in 2006!

  5. UF, your talent for proper nomenclature amazes me. "Cream Machine" - what a wonderful name. Seems we have another addict here. It doesn't take long to get addicted to this lens (about one hour in my case ).

    Cheers

  6. Frank, glad to hear thar it's not as serious as initially thought.

And thanks for the compliment. It's my privilege to know you, and other Cafe members. I can't think of a better community.
