I'm in the middle of series of equine shows run by the British Equestrian Federation to find the future stars of the equine world and hopefully groom them for Olympic fame and glory. The shows have been very challenging with regards to light and the travelling involved can make for a long day at times. Two more to go and then the finals on the 31st!

I thought I'd post a few shots of some of the more outstanding foals and youngsters from the shows to date, apologies if you don't like horses but who can resist a cheeky foal?

All shot with the D3 & 70-200mm VR, various apertures and shutter speeds and all at ISO6400.

3. This foal scored the highest marks to date, getting a perfect 10 in many areas and high 9's in the rest.

Nice, Colin. #2 is my favorite. I think horses would be beautiful to shoot, and quite a challenge.
