Yesterday, I had one of my rare chnaces to get out with my camera, at a nearby crit. I have not gone through all of the shots that I took, but here are a few samples. It always amazes me to see how fast the better riders can be.

D300, Nikkor 70-200VR.

nice Cliff, good job on the pans, and fill flash. They do haul don't they.
Thanks, Chris. Haul is right. I am always struck by the men racers in particular, with the strong wind and smell of hot rubber as they pass by. Thses races are amazing. Where else do you get to watch olympic caliber athletes competing only a few feet away from you.

Great to see some cycling shots. I especially like #8 I think because you have captured the riders eyes. All nice shots anyway. Thanks for posting them.

Cliff, great work here. Fill flash is perfectly balanced and the panning you do is 100x better than what I manage to pull off.

Always enjoy your crit pictures Cliff.
Thanks for sharing them.
Thanks, Joe. By the way, I went to college in Cleveland. What town are you in. You have to love a city that is named after a person, but spells his name wrong.

Thank you, Mike. Its easy to look like you are good at panning, when you don't show the bad ones.
