Had a nice little 3 day trip to Croatia. Driving from Zadar to Krka waterfalls, then to Dubrovnik and back via Split.
An amazing and beautiful country with the Old City of Dubrovnik now being my favorite place to have visited. It is unreal.
Post split into 3 - Krka, Dubrovnik and Split.

Great set! Isn't Dubrovnik wonderful? We've been there twice. First time hubby had a heart attack within 4 hours of our plane landing. GREAT hospital care! Second trip was much more enjoyable! LOL! In the second photo, our little apartment was on the right up the first alley/lane above the square when entering via Pile Gate.

It was amazing. before we left I looked for Cafe posts from there and your 2 threads were the only ones that showed and I'm sure the 2nd trip was more enjoyable!

  4. Nice pictures, very picturesque - looks hot !

I cycled that coast road, on the way to Athens - lovely road - but hot in August !

What puzzled me was the complete lack of wildlife. I did not see any sea gulls, or sea birds - no cormorants - no wild birds, nothing. Not even the little lizards sunning around on the rocks, like you get everywhere else. No fish, no cicadas. In a week of cycling that road I do not remember any road kill - like you normally see. Inland I saw squashed tortoise, pine martin, snakes all sorts - but that long coast road - nothing. Weird, wonder why that is.
  5. Well you obviously had beautiful weather, which does color one's impression. Nonetheless, it looks like a beguiling place, and your photos represent it well. Gotta put this on the bucket list.

Very interesting set no doubt but would I want to live there with the housing so crammed together?, some places are just for holidays.

These are from my new travel set-up.

    Panasonic GX85 with Olympus 9-18, Panasonic 12-35 f2.8 and olympus 40-150.
  10. An amazing place to see. The crammed together living space is interesting to say the least. That three master is a sight to behold. Thanks for sharing your nice images.
  11. Looks like a beautiful city, nice work.

Is that a 4 thirds sensor on your camera, seems a lot less weight to carry about, l use a Nikon D3 and a D700 plus a collection of Nikon AFS lenses quite a lump to heave around will have to look into your system if you get cracking results like that

    Yes. I use a D3s and 14-24 as my basic work set-up and had been traveling with a D700, 17-35 f2.8, 24-70, f2.8 and 70-200 f2.8.
Got tired of all the weight so tried out the M43 set-up. I have to say it is a dream for travel.

Interesting you've got 14-24 Nikon lens, lve got the 17-35/2.8D and the 24-70/2.8 afs,24-120/4 afs, 70-200/2.8 afs, 80-400 afs and a 105/2.8 afs micro plus an old 28/3.5 PC, lve been looking for a mint 14-24 2nd hand but am worried about having a mishap with the unprotected front element as you can't put a filter on the front to protect the glass, what are your thoughts on this?
