It can't be summer unless I get out to my favorite collared lizard spots. Here are a few recent shots. A friend of mine who is doing collared lizard research will be visiting next week. So, I'll probably have more!

  4. What exotic colors! Nice.

  5. Very interesting little critters, and well photographed. I especially like the pose in #6. Is that a mating pair?

    Thanks for looking, Klaus
    Thank you.
    Thanks, Nick.
Thanks, Jim. It is past the initial breeding season. But, I would guess it is a breeding pair. I can find babies out at that spot in the fall.

  7. Very nice set, the last one is special!

Aaron-Very nice work. I always enjoy your Collared Lizards shots. A couple of friends and I are headed down to Glade Top Trail in a few days and hope to find some there and photograph them. We had pretty good luck there on July 24 last year. Question: What weather conditions do you find most favorable for finding Collard Lizards?

  9. Super nice, the last one is stellar.

  10. Sweet shots, Aaron! I love their colors and patterns.

Thanks. The last is my favorite as well.
I didn't see any down that way when my friend was in town. Shoot me an email and I'll fill you in.
    Thank you very much, Gordon.
    Thanks, dossy.
