It's quite hot today and the kids wanted to do something cool, so we went skating. Originally wanted to shoot some photos of them skating, but I forgot to check the battery level before leaving home...

I liked Phil's idea of keeping cool, but this is hardly the time of year for ice here. So, I started out for a walk in the woods. Didn't get too far past this stream however before the deer flies and mosquitos found me :frown: . On the way back to the house, I saw many butterflies; changed lenses; and had some fun :smile: -- but, that's another story.

Well, it's afternoon, but this one was shot this morning out at the beach. I call it, "Rinsing the sand off." It was quite pleasant out at the beach this morning, but it's a hot one outside now and I just woke up from a nap Can't wait to see more pictures posted!!!

Due to several circumstances I have not been very active here for a while but I wanted to be in on this thread.

This is the Union Pacific Railroad depot in Manhattan, KS. It was built in 1901, but subsequently fell into disrepair with the decline in passenger rail travel. A sustained effort led to its renovation and re-dedication as a community space in June 2006.

Berry Picking Time

Yes, the berries are delicious and there are lots of varities to choose from at the "U Pick". This one is located at Webb Ranch near Stanford. Lots of families with kids including this little miss who was learning the fine art from her mom.
