Collective Shoot #229

Thank you, Herschel, for inviting me to host this Collective Shoot.
The theme of this week's CS is

"Sharing Your Part of the World"

I so enjoy travel, but I don't get to other places as much as I would like.
I would love to see so many of the beautiful places the world has to offer,
but I don't get out of Arkansas very often. So...folks, show me Your Little
Corner of the World this week! What would you like to show me about where
you live, or travel, or that special place that you love to photograph! Please do
encourage these old eyes with the beauty around you.

Here are a couple from Arkansas last fall...

Please post your submissions in this thread.

And now:
Have Fun!!

Cheryle, thanks for hosting. I think this theme will give us fine photos and a bit more understanding of how and where we live.

To those overseas, I apologize for not having posted this sooner for you...

And thanks so much for the kind words of welcome and encouragement for
this shoot. I am eagerly looking forward to some wonderful shots.
Rob, I am anxious to see Nederland... Pete was born a Dutchman in Friesland!
So we both enjoy seeing pictures... :887:

Well... I'll start us off...

We finally got some sun this afternoon. And we have some great Forsythia bushes here at the house...
I don't post much, so hope this looks alright.

After living in many different places on both sides of the Atlantic, my most favorite part of the world is New York City, where my favorite little corner is my terrace. Here is a shot from this evening, showing the Empire State Building lit for St. Patrick's Day. As you can see, we're still in stick season, but I am hopeful that we can soon have our dinners out there again.

Dianne, Mr. Mitchum's orchard is lovely! So peaceful looking! And it looks as though I'm going to have to visit Avery Island; that is really nice!

With a view like that, I'd never leave my house. Fantastic image and fantastic homestead!!!

Lyndee - Mr. Mitchum's orchard produces the best peaches in the south and there's always a festival some time in June (I think). Avery Island is in the southern part of LA and is also where the tobasco company is. Louisiana is just jam-packed full of photo ops!

Dianna, I understand why you placed the picture of the orchard. It's a beautiful place and I would love to walk there a bit and enjoying the peace and the escape from city surroundings!
