Welcome to the 350th edition, the theme is what it says on the tin: something old & something new, either in the same shot or separate ones.

I'll leave it to your own judgment how old is ancient and how new is modern - I suspect it will vary from place to place anyway :biggrin:

Usual rules apply, here are a few examples to start things off:

Al, very good examples of an interesting challenge. Since I am ancient and mainly use a digital camera, whatever I shoot should have a built-in modern vintage character!

Great theme Al. I love your examples. Well executed and super shots!

Here are two older ones, until I can get out and shoot this weekend. From a trip to Boston MA in June this year:

From last Saturday, when I went on vacation to my hometown for a wedding. I had one day free (in between fixing things at my mom's house and all the wedding activities and parties). It was cloudy, so I crossed my figures and went to the beach to catch this:

Yet again, as a courtesy I ask the question: As a slide film shooter I cannot possibly shoot and get my film processed in time to post over the course of the week, so may post archival photos?

No problem - I'd imagine by now you have a standing exemption

Nice ones Paul  Looking forward to the weekend

Great idea, Al, and excellent examples.

Paul, I really like your first shot -- one of those where the viewer has to decide what's a reflection and what is direct.

Marvelous theme, Al...lemme see what I can do here!

Cheers guys, I'm sure you'll do great

That first one is perfect for the theme. Nice shot.

Alas, but no.
I tried but failed to get the rules changed.
The thought is if archival material is allowed to be posted, then people will be less inclined to get out and shot new images. I'm photographing every weekend, and am always getting new slides back, but just not in a timely fashion.
No big deal. I'll continue to ask.
Thanks.

You could look here and shoot in advance?
