For a twist on the theme...a local brewery (Red Hook) was giving out glasses advertising one of their beers...

Here is a small, wireless, bluetooth speaker that I got last week as one of the pieces of swag from a conference/expo that I attended. Interesting name for a speaker/microphone...

In my home theater setup, there is quite a bit of "sound", with 7.1 channels. This baby produces the sound for five of the channels...

My kind of swag. How does it sound, Paul? Not as good as your home theatre. Not even close.

An auditory delight, the roar of the diesel engine, the click clack of the wheels, the ding, ding, ding of the gate and the train whistle:

I had 2 contrasting images planned, one roaring and one wispering but the morning clouds have interfered with getting the roaring image.

Super images Patti. Am glad I don't have to listen to all that reverberant noise in the last room.

Returning home, changing train... they're still working on the new tracks. But still, it's more quiet, calmer, at night...

A break:

For its size, not too bad. It has a microphone too, so I guess I could use it as a speakerphone for my cellphone. No thoughts of using it to get another channel on my home theater though. :)

Our friend Kemar, the research dummy used to mimic the human ear. He is currently deaf (someone's made off with his ears)

Maybe he took his own ears off, after being in the reverberant room? Can't you see he has a splitting headache?

Tom, if you're taking reservations, I'd like to claim that flat rock on the left as my seat.
