This theme should be easier for folks to participate in than my last one on "ice cold".

For this week's Collective Shoot your theme is "Sharp". This can be any interpretation of the word, including things like, but not limited to:

  • Traditional photography interpretation of a sharp picture, sharpness in a photo
  • Physical objects that are sharp
  • Intellect (as in a "sharp person")
  • Sharp odor
  • A sharp sound
Essentially, use your five senses (or six if you have them :)) and have fun shooting. Here are two examples...

When evaluating a new acquired vintage straight razor, I wanted to take a picture of the "grind" or shape of the razor, so I took this shot of the end of the razor so the cross section could be examined. It is considered a "quarter hollow" (there are many different shapes, and several lengths and widths as well):

This is, in my very subjective opinion, a sharp looking car (and the photo is pretty sharp too). Taken at last year's Tokyo Motor Show that I happened upon, while on travel for work:

Regular rules apply, three photos per post (max), G rated, keep the photo size down (800 pixels max edge), photos shot during the theme period, which is your local time midnight 1/13 until midnight 1/20.

Let's see what you have!

Fine examples, there, Paul, and indeed, that is one sharp BMW - whoooo, that's a pretty car! In fact, I really do think I need that vehicle in my life. Please box it up and send it to me. I shall wait patiently in my driveway for it... :p

In the meantime, I shall see what images I can provide for you this week - stay tuned!

It's all yours, just stop by the car show and drive it home! I'm sure the keys are in the ignition. :)

Looking forward to what you come up with!

Great shot! Fits the theme perfect. Nice detail on the razor, tack sharp image, and a sharp item as well. Bravo!

Hear My Sharp Fearsome Roar!!!

Leo issues a sharp warning ROAR to that feral cat who has been harassing him.
Or...he could be just about to take a nap on the safe balcony in his heated cat bed,
in which case it would be a sharp toothy yawn.

(I used selective color and focus to try and accentuate his face and teeth)

This image is just GREAT ! ...though without the explanation it is -near- impossible to guess it is the FACE of a "cut-throat" razor blade !

Love it !

Awesome expression caught Ed! Love the caption, and the selective color really works on this shot.

Cool JP, not only is it not only sharp, but it appears you have leaned to levitate things. :)

Looks like Leo would have a fierce roar. Those teeth sure look sharp. OUCH!!
