Hello all!

Welcome to Collective Shoot Number 488. This week's theme is "Rust and Rustic" and I'm very excited about it. I've always liked old rusty things, rustic scenes, etc. and am anxious to see what fantastic photographs you folks can come up with!

Here are a few to get the wheels in motion.

1. One of the first photographs I took with my shiny new D750.

2. Rustic horse corral in Colorado Springs

3. Chains along Highway 18 heading up to Lake Arrowhead in California. This used to be what separated cars from the edge of the mountain. You can see its modern day replacement on the right side...safer, but surely missing the character of the original. Glad they left them.

Like the close-up of the bolts and a great capture on the sky with the corral.

I've been looking forward to the CS as about 90% of my props are "rustic" and even a few that have plenty of "rust".
This will be a good week to build my portfolio

Both the bread I just made and the tambour of the Hoosier cabinet it's on are pretty rustic looking :)

I'm not kidding when I say my mouth is watering... Also, I have to admit I had to look up the meaning of tambour. LOL Nice job Larry.

This is a fantastic theme. I can't promise, but I do, finally, have some free time this weekend, so I'll see what I can do for ya!
