Hi folks

it's a pleasure to be your host this week.

In our local photo club we had an interesting discussion about the color RED. Many photographers there say that red is difficult to shoot.
So, let's try...

I thought about pictures od red buildings, vehicles, red-haired people, everything red.

This should be an interesting CS. Your opening photos are great and show a few of the different shades of red.
My favorite is #3 of the doors. The red color really pops, esp. being surrounded by the neutral color bricks.

Thanks for hosting us Klaus. Great theme. It should be lots of fun. Red is my favorite color so I'm extra interested in seeing other fine shots like the terrific examples you provided.

Currently on vacation in Lake Arrowhead, CA. Figured I'd get something in while I had the chance: an Acorn Woodpecker. Only had my 70-200, so highly cropped and shot through a less than clean window. These little guys are cute, but I have to patch up their holes every year.

That small patch of red works great for this image

Dave, the light in the second picture is marvelous. And it's a intersting shade of red.

Well done though. Nice DoF in the shot too.

Nice Dave. I like the close up shot of the Christmas Cactus?
