Somewhat inspired by getting soaked when I ought to be basking in sunshine, this week's theme is Sun and Rain.

Thanks for hosting us this week Al. It's a terrific theme and your examples have really gotten me rolling on this one. Thunderstorms forecast for most of the afternoon. Let's see what I can capture.

Too bad it's not yet midnight here -- there's a gentle rain plus a nice light show going on right now.
OMG! When I first glanced at this, I thought you wrote "...there's a gentle rain plus a nice light SNOW going on...". You scared me. :)

I had just finished lunch when I heard raindrops on the roof. I grabbed a camera, and ran around to the north side of our house. I could see patches of blue sky to the south, but to the north it looked like this:

Well, I am guessing that "Jake the Snake" (foreground on rocks) was someones son. There is rain in the forecast.​
