And the beat (of chilly rain) goes on.

Our butterfly bushes are all dressed up, but nobody else is coming to the party today. [A large low pressure system has been parked all week over eastern Indiana.]

Very pretty Bob. Rain may be hard to deal with sometimes but the results are stunning.

That's a pretty tree Dave. In fact the whole scene is very pretty. Nice shot.

Hello. Sorry to get this CS going so late but I'm not able to get to my computer much these days. I won't be here much this week to post but I'll try to visit and comment as much as I can. I can usually comment from my cellphone but haven't been able to get the capability to post pictures here working.

So - here's the deal. Post one picture each day. You can choose the subject and the equipment. Give us a detailed explanation or let the picture speak for itself. You're in charge. Regular rules apply.

That's Beckham. My great-grandson. I watch him everyday and that's one the the things that keeps me off my computer. He requires lots of attention.
Nicely done Art! Interesting theme, will try to add some shots that didn't quite make my OctoberFest Meme (I've got three shots to choose from for today).

With roughly 2 inches of rain in the past two days, I wasn’t able to venture very far today. I did step out onto our side porch during this afternoon’s downpour however, and I spotted this solitary ray of hope – a volunteer zinnia blooming amidst an unkempt patch of weeds.

I like the burst of color in the shot.

Lots of rain here yesterday and this morning. Here's a shot from an unkempt part of the back garden. I don't mow or weedwack when the grass is very wet.

We're getting the same thing...though we need the rain.

A welcomed, dreary rainy day highlighting the early colors on drought stressed trees.

Wow, everyone is getting rain. I measured 7.2 inches here since Monday.

I just found this thread, so here is my picture for yesterday. That's Mrs. T. exploring The Channels Natural Area where we took our hiking group yesterday.

Reminds me of the Dogwood we had at home, when I was a kid. Nice shot.
