CS #523 - Ruins

Just took over this week's CS as a volunteer mission.

The theme will be "RUINS".
Everything ruins - that means show me everything that is ruined.
Abandomed buildings, cars, things of our daily life that were broken.

Even if I show two different castles in my examples - you're free to choose your ruin.

(1) Hohen Freyburg near the city of Pfronten

With a core that was built in about 1820, this old house was one of the first “castles” in this part of Ohio. One can still find hand hewn beams and native walnut planks inside. Today, it serves as a storage building, but the useful space diminishes a little with each storm.

Interesting theme, Klaus. I know of several possibilities in my area if I can find time to hike to them.

Of course none will be ancient castles like your examples.

Either this is some form of new defensive bullet, or I ruined a perfectly good case, when reloading this 9mm cartridge...yeah it was the latter...

With the state of food supply chains, refrigeration, and all that other “modern stuff”, today’s farmers rarely see the need for upkeep of a building to house a couple of family cows.
[Sorry about all that sunshine, but the forecast is for it to be replaced by a mix of liquid and solid precipitation tonight.]

This building dates from the late 40’s or early 50’s when it was popular with the local farmers as the only bar and pool hall in the area. In the 1990’s it briefly became a restaurant that was noted for its poor service, improperly cooked food, and dirty dishes. Some things are best left to naturally expire.
