Hopefully most of us have some three-dimensional public art within a reasonable distance, so here's a chance to show some of it to a wider audience.

In other words, show us some statues, of figures known and unknown to the wider world.

Some were once well known, but now languish in obscurity, like one-time rowing world champion "Honest Bob" Chambers:

Some have found their fame to have lasted longer, like England captain Bobby Moore:

Others are prone to imitation, like the Angel of the North:

Really great examples Al! I'll have to find some time to go into town to get some shots.

This cast is shown on the old and damaged bell of the church. The bell is on exhibition in front of the church.

Rather than drive across town to the sculpture garden where there is a large version of this, I shot the maquette.

To the best of my knowledge, our area has only one “hero” and I’ve previously used his statues in other CS editions. So, I decided to try a different form of statuary – that sometimes found in cemeteries. So far, I’ve been to 2 cemeteries, and have found only this one example. [Most graves were marked with simple headstones.]

Interesting shot with the moss? A friend of mine mentioned checking out cemeteries, but here in NH, there are many statues in parks. Seems like they have statues for everyone... :) My challenge is to try not to repeat shots of any statues taken before...

Cool set Paul - is there any reason she looks so worried? :D
