This weeks topic is "Celebrate Life" aka "Life is Good."
The shoot runs from...well right now...until midnight May 3rd (your local time).
Everything we do as photographers in some way or another celebrates the wonderful gift of Life!
So show us how YOU celebrate life with pics of your family, kids, friends, pets or whatever.
The usual forum rules apply such as: all posts must be family friendly; no more than three pics per post please; only images taken within the time frame of the shoot, etc
except me to start off.

What could be more representative of life than the amazing reproductive function symbolized by this flower? Our white azalea has just a couple of blooms that have opened so far, but I wanted to catch something before the impending rain.

Today our seniors hiking group celebrated life as we do every Thursday. We got out and walked in the woods.

Thanks, Jim.
As you've noted before, we're seeing a different kind of spring this year. Plants that were hit by the cold snaps look terrible, but those that survived are "exploding".
[Your lady's slipper is another one I've never encountered locally.]

I really like that second shot, it shows how the blossom unfolds. Hi, to Mrs. T and the gang from the West Coast.

Now I'm jealous, Jim. Since five days it's snowing here near the Alps. Today was the first day with snow on the streets. And I'm driving summer tires already.

I think, if I'll have a hike with your friends, you'll have a steam engine in your group (n);):)

Wonderful pictures - especially the unfolding flower.

Kind regards, to your wife too
Klaus

All through the winter the dead trees are standing boldly on the hillside.
As spring comes even one of those seemingly "dead" trees brings out its
big green leaves...

I see all around, even a dead cedar tree, surrounded by flowering bushes,
daffodil leaves and soon to flower Vinca vines!

I am celebrating Life... 5 years ago the first tornado came, and everything
seemed to be fine. Then after the second tornado, two years later yesterday,
April 27, the stress on our wooded hillside appeared quite profoundly...

I rejoice at this tree in the middle... with this I am celebrating Life !! :joyful:

Not the right lens for this, but it is what I had...

Nice shot Cheryle and great story as well. Not sure I could live where there is the threat of tornados... I guess the movie Twister can be blamed. :)

Everything has been brown and dead for a while, but this tree outside the study has been showing signs of life. It's finally blossoming:

Thanks Paul ! I never saw the movie... it is only the last 10 years or so, that we have started
having such dangers around here...
Don't really know where to go...
Tornadoes around the midwest,
Earthquakes out west, oh, we have started getting those too.
Cold and snow out your direction and in the north & northwest.
Hmmmm... :D :D

Nice shot of, are those cherry blossoms? Nice to see when in your special place... :)
