Well my friends,
this week I was thinking of a theme everyone can take pictures: Church.

Please post pictures of a church in your neighborhood, or the church you'll attend.
Views from the outside, from the inside or just details.

Beautiful examples, Klaus! The first one shows architecture that we would never find on this side of the pond. And, the second one, with no windows, emphasizes its location.

In my office is a large print of "The Munster" a beautiful church

I will be traveling this week and don't think I can find a way to upload images to my host site, otherwise would join in.
Will share that the most interesting church I have ever seen was on the Big Island of Hawaii. It is in Kona on hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean
and made entirely of lave rock. When i was there people met outside on a patio overlooking the ocean.

If you will have Internet access, you should be able to upload an image. As you begin composing your response, note the button labeled "more options" (lower RHS). That will enable upload (see towards bottom of message entry panel) to the Café server (not your host site).

My town has eight churches. This is the closest to my house.

Very nicely done, Dave. [Seems like it's nearly impossible to avoid the power lines except for some of the larger churches in major cities.]

Thank you Bob. My neighborhood has underground utilities but most of the town still has overhead wires. I think I'll try for a church without wires tomorrow.

I got up early this morning and drove to my old neighborhood. This is the church that I attended from 1943 to 1993.
There used to be a mansion across the street where the person who paid for the church lived. I stood in that spot which
is now a Wendy's parking lot to take this shot.

What you guys may lack in quality, you make up in quantity and ubiquity

When I visited last, TWA dumped me overnight in this little village in upstate New York. I went for a walk in the morning and found more churches on one street than I'd seen in any entire city before
