Pardon the iPhone pics, will get out Thursday or Friday to take some real ones.

This weeks theme is
"Shadows and Reflections."

(the use of shadows or reflections to enhance a scene)

The usual forum rules apply such as only posting pictures taken during this shoots time-frame (right now until 11:59 PM Sept 13th your local time).
Please limit pics to three per post, but you may submit more than one post. Family friendly content please, etc. etc.

On my walk this morning this image it illustrates using shadows as part of the image subject:

The second is taken from the same bridge and illustrates how both shadows and reflections
can make a nice scene even more interesting (golden hour).

Have fun and am looking forward to how people interpret this theme!

Yes, you can save the Nikon Cafe Collective Shoot by taking some pictures and posting them. Thereby distracting me from taking more images of myself.

OK, call it blackmail

I figured downtown would have lots of reflections so I took a walk around this morning. If you don't like the framing on these you can blame my bad memory - I had experimented with DX ccrop mode last week and forgotten to set the camera back to FX - dumb, dumb, dumb. 24mm f3.5 PC-Nikkor.

Larry

this one didn't suffer too much from the crop.

Shadows here were from the light reflected off the glass building behind me.

I really like the architecture in that building on the second shot.

Yes, my wife is on her toes with the seasonal decorating.
Hopefully I get some time this week...

Those are a couple of nice photos.
The first one really conveys the idea of a city or large town, the second one is nice as well.
I have no problem with the framing of either.

Agree on the building...that looks like a black panther wearing a sombrero on the left???

I like your shot as well. Way to go choosing an angle which puts the flag in the reflection off the window.

So it's pumpkin time already, how the year flies by.
