Well, it's the 6th centenial of the Collective Shoot. (y)

Thank you all very much who had participated in 599 CS before. I'm proud of our community.

This week I've choose "Rural scenes" as theme. Feel free to show farm equipment, landscapes and perhaps farmers at work.

A quick snap of my neighbor's "little" vegetable garden. It's too early for many of the vegetables other than cabbage and onions to be up and showing, but the whole space will soon be filled with FRESH goodies.

Nice set and interesting theme Klaus. Hopefully, I can get out a bit during the weekend. Been busy at work, and fighting off a sinus infection. :(

    Wow! What a huge garden.

  5. This would be an ideal theme for me under normal circumstances, but I'm at Dulles Airport about to board a plane for Croatia. Maybe I'll see some rural scenes there!

That is Vancouver's Southlands equestrian neighbourhood, this particular home is kind of modest compared to the castles there. A tax heaven for the Uber rich who get ALR (agriculture land reserve) Tax status as long as they sell a bag of carrots a year or something like that. Southlands farm.JPG
Life ain't fair and then you die :D

  10. Rural parts of my world are not so fancy and tend to have small farms.

Nice shots Dave, you can always tell a real farmer when the barn is fancier than the house.

  12. Yup.

  13. Here is different view of my earlier photo. This field is usually all corn.

    Hi Dave,
your cornfields look the same as ours.
Here it is planted to produce bio gas.
    Monoculture where ever you look.

    Good picture btw.

Quite a few of the towns in my area are very rural (including the one I live in). One of two horses that folks have in Chester NH. cs-600-1468.jpg

  19. Nice photo, Paul but, I thought to qualify as rural it had to be a one horse town;).

I should probably contact the town, as these folks are twice over the limit. Although, they look like ponies (small), so maybe they can have two... :)
