Good timing, just back from the Grand Canyon and haven't unpacked.

D3x + Tamron 15-30 f/2.8. 24mm, 45mm and 85mm PC, Zeiss 35mm f/2 and 180 f/2.8 AF-D in the bag with a can of air. And yes, the bag is a Billingham :).

Starting with my least used and smallest bag, a Thule. Mostly used for lugging a D850 (being used to shot the bag) and typically a single lens (Nikon 16-35 f4; Nikon 24-120 f4; or Nikon 50 f1.8). Can fit the D850, 50 and one of the others with lens hood reversed. I call this my urban/transport bag. Also the insert is removable and fits perfectly in small REI day pack, which is what I used on my recent trip to Belgium. Front pocket for batteries/cards and rear for iPad-- I've never used either

2 more shots. My oldest bag, a LowePro Orion AW from the mid '90s. It's a waist pack with a shoulder strap and very comfortable. It used to be my only bag in my late film days when I had a camera and smallish lenses. Now used for nature hikes/day hikes in the woods when I carry my 200-500, filters, extra cards, cleaning stuff, etc. Camera and one of my other lenses is on a Optech strap that also has room for my binoculars.

Finally we get to bags with stuff in 'em.
Gura Gear Bataflae 32L Backpack. And like the wings of a butterfly the lid opens from either side (center hinged) or as a single piece (hinged on the bottom). This is my go everywhere (more or less) bag. It comes with me when I'm driving the countryside, it comes on short hikes, etc.
D850 w/24-120 in the empty slot. 70-200 f4 to its right. On the lower left 50 1.8, TC 1.4/extension rings; 16-35, 200-500. Cleaning stuff and filters (orange pouch). Lid has remote shutter releases, cards, USB cables, batteries, extra caps, allen wrench, and a Jobu Jr in the out side pocket.

Pelican 1520 (my only local purchase!) has my flash gear, 2 SB800s, cables, Phottix triggers, batteries, a small diffuser and umbrella, black foam, CC filters, umbrella brackets for the flash. And a gooseneck "flash stick" that someone gave me!

I leave everything at home and only take what I need. Things that live in my Domke.
