I received an early Christmas gift this month. A new granddaughter - Valerie. Born on the 5th. It's been years since we have had a newborn in the family.

First image is breaking the rules as she was born on Wednesday, but it was the first for this series.

1. 2 hours old, gazing at her mom

Congratulations James.
Our Emma is 9 months old now and very active, but not in the loud way.

All my best wishes to the family. And may Valerie have a long life in health and prosperity.

new season crop from the strawberry patch. Rather large berries this year. Normally this would be about NZ$5 but for us free

She's a beauty. I have a feeling that you'll be shooting many pictures of her as she grows up!

These look delicious and are nicely photographed. A few look like the large mutants we get from California which have almost no taste, but they are probably better. The best strawberries I've had in a very long time were some we got in Croatia last May at the street markets. I can still taste them!

But of course it's May where you live :) (by our reckoning).

Biiscotti anyone? The whole house smells of chocolate!
