Been thinking about a twist on the old "holiday images" theme ... how about setting up or trying something new and different? The real challenge might be to find a holiday-related subject without people in it!!

For example ... I set this up a couple of weeks ago on a trip to Mt Rainier ...

Simply found a snow drift by the road, carefully made a little indentation, and placed a Christmas ornament in the fluffy snow. I kinda like it!!

Usual rules apply, photos to be taken between 00:01 12/19/18 and 23:59 12/25/18, your time!!

Let's see some shots that highlight holiday cheer and happiness!!

Ho Ho Ho!!

Perhaps I'll drop one in ... took this today. Like many people, our ornaments sometimes have meaning. In this case, we're remembering that my son is currently at Washington State University (WSU) and taking Air Force ROTC .... much like his Dad did back in the late 60's and early 70's!!

(I was too lazy to get out the tripod so I see this is just a bit soft ... my bad!!)

Lots of nice colors and bokeh. I always like tree shots.

A few traditional shots, until I can think of something.

Ribbon candy was popular when I was younger but I prefer these:

Excellent ... I love the first, but I'm drawn to the second and third shots. There's a different color cast about them which I think works extremely well!!
