Here are two examples from yesterday of a technique that benefits from increased depth of field, and one that I'm desperately trying to improve - panning.

1. 43mm, f/14, 1/25"

These are obviously practice shots. For much better examples of panning technique on faster and more unique motorized subjects, take a look at some of the work by @ijm5012 - it is quite excellent.

Nice practice shots. I usually am closer to 1/125", based on the speed of the vehicle. It takes lots of practice for sure!

I'm planning on doing that at a driving school tomorrow, but that may be userped by my daughter's pregnancy...news just now that she may be close to going into labor (small dilation and blood pressure increasing).

You don't get stopped down much more than f/20. Shutter speed is 1/2s.

Judging by the flap position, the C-172 appears to be on final approach. Looks like 1/160" is slow enough to make the prop look like it is spinning quite fast in spite of a low power setting. Nicely done!

Tres bien! I like the way you've captured the splashing water (and simultaneously wondering why it isn't ice at -12 degrees F). I saw the next few from that event on your SmugMug - all very nice.

Taken with the Olympus E-M1 II with the 12-100mm F/4. This combo is ridiculous with the 5-axis IBIS and on lens IS on = dual IS. Both were hand held. I took another one with a full second exposure and it's just as sharp.

I am curious, would the Z6 or Z7 with a VR lens be able to do the same?

Open up to F/16 to get all the flowers in focus

I love the first one. That Olympus does an amazing job!! I'll try in good light and see how long I can handhold with my Z6. I've heard of people who can do 1 second, but I'm not that steady, so I doubt if I can.

it was this afternoon at 3pm ...just put 4 of them on my website ( the other ones are from previous year ), I might post more here after I download and process them...

The micro 4/3 sensor is an excellent choice for increasing depth of field. And you’ve truly doubled down by going all the way to f/32 FF equivalent. I now feel a little regret over selling my 12-100 last week. But back to your images: Nicely done.
