Nice shot. I think that potato (new kind, not sweet), might be overwhelmed by all that garlic. On the other hand, can you have too much garlic? At the ready for cooking...

Not for a specific meal (maybe the potatoe may be, or it may be a left over). We always have garlic out, and the container is for honey (frequently used with tea by my mom). The timer used a lot as well. All that next to the knives (just out of the photo to left).Sweet potatoe with garlic?
Remarkable

Gotta love you folks! Lyndee kindly sent me a PM to let me know about it. I will definitely participate despite that expectations have been raised to unconscionably high levels. Sue me not if but when I submit grab shots.Okay, we've got to get Mike in here for this...![]()
That's quite a lot of cookbooks (even just part of the shelf). This is where I start before heading into the kitchen. I don't cook from recipes much, but I get inspiration, plus the photos can be the appetizers. The rest of my cookbooks are in the kitchen or my office.

Very nice set. I love my Shun knives, with a similar Damascus steel, which looks so cool.My current favorite chef's knife:
