Just playing around with my just-acquired copy of a Russian lens, the Helios 44-2. It is a 58mm f/2 in M42 mount known for its swirly bokeh, an effect that is not as easy to achieve as I thought. A PK-13 was used for #2 and #3 to get a closer working distance.

Oh! Wow! That last image is a stunner, Andy.
The Helios is "famous" for that kind of bokeh.

Will you let us know which generation of the Helios you own (1 ... 6)?

Well I am a tiny bit irritated....
This is the 1000 yard range which the Red Flag shows is "Hot"

Are they hiding?


I would respectfully request extra credit for taking the littlest amount
of effort in shooting this week, all iPhone pics.
It was a great idea, am simply too busy!
