Great set, and mix of flowers and detail shots. I love the rose in shot 3, but also the Hosta and the tendrils too.

Thanks, Paul. I made it into the Conservatory just for the last few minutes before they closed for the day, as I had spent several hours looking through the rose garden. I need to get back to DC to spend more time there.

This series of your Crested Butte flower photos just keeps getting better and better!

While we were on a birdwatching hike this afternoon we were treated to a long look at a gorgeous Western Tanager, but while trying to catch my breath I switched from binoculars to camera and captured these full Ocean Spray blossoms (also known as Ironwood (Holodiscus discolor)).

While we were on a birdwatching hike this afternoon we were treated to a long look at a gorgeous Western Tanager, but while trying to catch my breath I switched from binoculars to camera and captured these full Ocean Spray blossoms (also known as Ironwood (Holodiscus discolor)).

Ironwood is completely new to me, Nick - nice work here. At least I know Western Tanagers

I am growing a new photographer!! We went camping last weekend. My 10 year old granddaughter, Jaycie, wanted to try her hand at photography. I put the kit lens on my D5600, showed her how to move the focus point and take a photo and let her have a go with it. At first she was hanging out with me, then she wanted to go and experiment on her own. Here are 3 of hers that turned out pretty great, if you ask me!!
