As this week marks the 50th anniversary of Apollo XI and man's first steps on the moon, I thought we might celebrate with our images of objects in flight.

No need to find a spacecraft to shoot. Keep your eye out for flying ducks, airplanes, dragonflies, frisbees, pole vaulters, springboard divers, baseballs... the list can go on and on. Have fun trying to capture them airborne.

I finally got through the users manual and Thom Hogan's guide for my Z6 was testing it with a F-mount lens when these little guys wandered by. Heavily cropped, but I'm happy (hand held, spot metering, dynamic area focusing, processed in DXO-PL2)
