And that is a good start indeed Roland. Oddly enough I was just looking at the used prices on that lens yesterday. It certainly produces nice results.
Oh, yes, I can't let it go yet. I shoot MF glass on the Z7, super-teles on the Z7, and as the 85/1.4D won't work on the mirrorless, I keep a D750 around. My "AF go to pair" is the 85/1.4D and the 28/1.4D. I love the 2.
Great shots for the family album.
Thank you. Actually taken with the same lens, but it won't show in the data (merger = EXIF data gone)

Early morning, trying to get me going "square": Geometry and lines in the kitchen, and the selfie, then:

And some more from the evening, again 'having fun in the garden' - Mayla throwing soft adhesive balls and darts:

And one more post, sorry - I start to temporary like the 1:1/square ratio:

Coincidence. It was while I was doing yet another fruitless search for a 28/1.4D that I started coming across the 85.

A couple from a short while ago in/from the garden.

The bird house made by one of my granddaughters is being taken over.

Nicer sky than we've had for a few weeks, complete with swallows.

These do well in mono. I prefer the first. Not that there's anything wrong with your selfie!
Expect the fact that selfies have the downside of having me in :)
These are with the M-Mount Voigtländer 35mm f1.2 Nokton II asph. adapted on to the Nikon Z7, and both shot around f/2 or 1.7, if I remember correctly.
I do like all of your "playtime" pics. Good choice of T-shirt too. What was the camera/lens combination in the mixed mono/colour set?
These sets from outdoor are shot with the D750, 85mm f/1.4D, stopped down a little.
B&W: f2.8 to f3.5
Color: f2.5, one at f2
