Are the pears in your yard? I wish I had a pear tree!

Yup, we have 2, a Bosc and a red Bartlett. Bugs get a few, squirrels too, but we have plenty for us and friends.

Our garden is drying up. Many up here water as little as possible (or less) since our aquifer is dropping and we have no surface water.
I bet you enjoy your pears. Our water is being metered for the first time this year. We've tried to cut back, too, but couldn't handle having our grass turn brown, so we decided to pay what it costs to keep it nice. I would have thought that northern Idaho would have a lot of water. Guess that was a wrong assumption!!

Nice one Gene. The square works despite cutting off wings and props! I think it may be because of the very even tone of the film!
Tks!
Yeah it was a compromise with the composition.
I wanted to be fairly close yet wanted the roundel in the image as well!

Had it done. Way too much work, as we redid the whole first floor and stairs. It was enough work for me to remove all the furniture and bath fixtures. Took them a week to do, but gave us a chance to go up to my daughter's and see my grandson.
Ah the whole floor plus stairs. Wouldn't want to do that either... Nice to spend the time like that, visiting.

I like flower shots, but the 2nd one is just so good, it gets my vote. Really like it!

Strong long set, pears are perfect. And I like the car shot the much I dislike the car itself :)

Editing my shots from yesterday, I thought I should have included this one, as the framing, and the different depth layers of foliage made such a good square comp.

Wow! Lots of great contributions since I was last on. Lovely to see everyone giving it a go. I spent much of yesterday getting really sticky in the garden and it looks like today will be the same but once the chores are out of the way I'll get the camera out again.
