It was 3 minutes after sunset here, thinking about trying to toss a snap into Klaus' Blue Hour CS theme; overnight guests about to arrive; dinner plans not yet settled. Grabbed a cam, attached a zoom lens, ran outside & was hanging over the backyard fence. Only afterward did I realize: 1) I put a DX lens on a D800; 2) I missed my intended focus point; and 3) OK, enough excuses, but thankful to have had a slight kick in the butt to attempt a shot today!

Prices Mountain forms the immediate backdrop, the Blue Ridge on the horizon.

This is the view from our bedroom window.

Paid work has prevented much in the way of personal shooting, but here's a quick snap from today that fits the theme:

Sorry I missed this week. Between work, weather, birthday, and routine colonoscopy, I had no time to do some shooting.
