CS #708 - What's Cooking

No cooking today. I like to cook and do it even more often during holidays, but not today. Wife went home to work for 2 days. We 3 remaining went for a short walk to the woods, and ate there. We brought pre-cut raw vegetables as fingerfood, bread, and got a little fire going to grill sausages, held over the embers on sharpened sticks.

Cooking is not my strong suit. I love to bake, but my doctor ordered diet doesn't include many grains and no sugar. So baking is something I don't do much. But, I do love to grow some of my food. My green beans will be coming on right while I am on vacation, so I guess if this little guy does them damage while I am gone, it won't matter too much. The bean on the left is probably about an inch long.

My wife returned to Grindelwald today after going to work yesterday and today, staying home over night. Her pictures of what she found in the garden - neighbours have been looking after it, and eaten as much as possible - still, the cucumbers reach the ground

I should have used a bit more elevation on the camera, but I had 2 pots on the stove begging for immediate attention.

I really like the perspective you chose. If it was mine, I would add a gradient at the top that darkens the tones in that area so the viewer's eye isn't drawn away. Regardless, I'm jealous of both the cooking and photography!

The focus stacking came out great! I'll have to play with that more.

One of my go-to meals. Naan's are on tap for Monday or Tuesday.
