Maybe your worry should be whether the downhill is steep or moderate, and, if steep, how hard is the bottom?

I bet it's all by design, there is no reason to send you something and then ask you if you received it. Probably some type of awareness or competence exercise the Feds dreamed up for their next study.

In the case of Virginia the counties are sending the mail-in ballots in compliance with state regulations.

I got something in the mail a couple of weeks ago which purported to be a mail-in ballot application but when I read it I noticed it placed me in City of Fairfax, as opposed to Fairfax County -- a crucial jurisdictional difference and serious error. I promptly discarded the item right then and there. Rather than doing mail-in voting, I am planning to go to Mason District Governmental Center when in October they start providing hours for in-person early voting.
