When I went out for my daily 3+ mile walk Friday it was cloudy, windy, chilly, and spitting rain. But that weather is perfect for saturating the Fall colors.

Puts me in mind of the moors. What kind of birds are those?

Hi Jim. Yes, it was that kind of dull day that brings the moors to mind. The birds are starlings. We get these small murmurations each year. The big, spectacular ones happen down at the estuaries. Perhaps I should take a wander down there.

Thanks to our Japanese Maple, which always has a dark maroon color this time of year.

I assume being in the southern part of the world, we can add a "spring" image - nothing says spring more than wisteria in flower - this is a frame grab from a video I was shooting

Very nice set. Our burning Bush is still green, but maybe it knows that the fire danger is high in our area right now due to the drought as is refraining from “burning”.

Your earlier confirming reply was somehow not displayed when I responded. Generally I'm not a huge fan of the starlings we have over here, but when I see them doing their aerial ballet, I marvel at them.

It was a cloudy, cool, windy day today. We were able to take a drive to one of our favorite fall locations.

The wind had blown the leaves into some deep ruts.
