A set of images made with a new-to-me 35mm f/1.8S at the Conservatory and Botanical Gardens at the Bellagio this morning in Las Vegas. The installation changes considerably from time to time, with the current display seeming to be a tribute to the numerous cultures visiting the hotel rooms, tables and slot machines that occupy the rest of this building.

Stunning, Andy! I stayed there when at a national chemistry meeting way back in the day and I remember that ceiling . . .

This was the first outing with it and I really like it so far. I brought my old 35mm f/1.8G to do some side by side comparisons, but was having so much fun shooting the new one, that I never switched! Three things that jumped out at me are how nicely it renders backgrounds, the quickness and accuracy of the AF, and its ability to make sunstars.
